Hello World is a 24 hour hackathon Hosted in the Lawson Computer Science building, Hello World will give students the opportunity to experience their first hackathon, develop their skills, and make awesome projects!  After 24 hours of development, the Expo will begin. Students can show off their their projects, apps, and ideas to all the participants!

Hello World is open to all Purdue University freshman.

Make sure you provide us with a link to your github repository when you submit your project. We want projects that you created during the hackathon, not projects you started before. Make sure you add each member of your team to the submission page so we know who helped!

The final deadline for submissions is 11:00 AM, October 16. After that time, submissions will not be allowed!

Judging Criteria

  • Creativity
We're looking for hacks that are just plain cool. Projects that make you think "Wow, I can't believe they did that!"
  • Technical Skill
We're not looking for projects that will change the world, but we want to see you pushing yourself! That's what a hackathon is all about, anyways!
